Comfifast ™ Multistretch ™ and Comfifast ™ Easywrap ™ allow for effective, everyday skin care using the method of wet and dry dressings. Wound skin of atopic dermatitis or eczema can be protected and helps to prevent scratching by the wearer.

The method of wet dressings is a global standard of care for the treatment of skin diseases, especially atopic dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis and lupus.

What the wet wrapping is and how it works ?

Itching on the sick person is reduced significantly, by exposing the skin to the environment characterized by humidity of 100% and then allowed to partial evaporation of the water to a moisture level of about 60%.

Evaporation of water stimulates the end of the nerve fibers responsible for the sensation of cold which reduces itching conducted by nerve pain to the central nervous system. It also has vasoconstriction effect, thereby reducing erythema, as well as inflammatory response is inhibited.

For proper operation of the wet dressing method, use garments and medical bandages Comfifast. The following describes how to perform a method of  wet dressing (wet wrapping).

Keep in mind that after a few days of wet dressing therapy, the skin condition improves significantly, than move  to method of dry dressings (dry wrapping) - also using Comfifast.

Please note that the use of a wet dressing by cooling of the skin, also slightly lowers the body temperature. This is a particularly important feature in the hot, hot summer nights, when by excessive heat and increased pruritus, there are disorders of sleep.

Dressings leave emollients and medications in direct contact with the skin, soften and moisturize it at the same time allow them to better absorption. This enables the use of milder drugs to achieve effects similar to those expected after using such steroids. In addition, the application of wet dressings, the skin is cooled (by moisture evaporation occurs effect) - is a particularly important advantage when the weather is not conducive to treatment and if  is hot. The method reduces itching, patient can sleep peacefully all the night and enjoy the activity during the day, maximizing the patient's quality of life.

Using the method of wet dressings and simultaneous improvement in the condition of the skin, leading to a transition to a method of dry dressings and, consequently, treatment is reduced to baths with emollients, which directly leads to a return to a normal life.

Comfifast ™ Easywrap ™ has been designed in such a way to allow the user to lead a normal active life-can be worn day and night, both under clothes or pajamas.
